This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs payments, refunds, cancellations, and dispute handling on the Freelyns platform (“Platform”).
By using Freelyns, you agree to this policy.
Freelyns operates as a technology marketplace connecting Freelancers and Clients.
Freelyns:
Is not the direct provider of freelance services.
Is not responsible for project outcomes.
Processes payments as a facilitator (directly or through third-party gateways).
Refund eligibility depends on the specific circumstances described below.
Payments made by Clients may fall into one of the following categories:
Milestone-based payments
Fixed-price projects
Hourly contracts
Subscription services
Platform service fees
Refund rules differ based on payment type.
A Client may request a refund if:
Payment was made but the Freelancer has not started work.
No deliverables have been submitted.
The Freelancer agrees to cancellation.
If escrow is enabled and funds have not been released, eligible funds may be refunded after review.
If a milestone is not approved by the Client and a dispute is raised within the platform-defined review period, funds may be held pending investigation.
If the milestone has already been approved and funds released, refunds are generally not possible unless both parties agree.
Once:
Work is delivered, and
Client approves the deliverables
Payments are considered final and non-refundable.
For hourly projects:
Payments for logged and approved hours are non-refundable.
Disputes must be raised within the review period defined by the platform.
If Freelyns offers premium subscriptions:
Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
Cancellation will stop future billing but does not refund past payments.
Platform commissions, transaction fees, and processing fees are generally non-refundable.
If a Client believes:
Work was not delivered as agreed
Deliverables are significantly different from the project description
The Client must:
Raise a dispute within the platform’s defined dispute window.
Provide evidence supporting the claim.
Attempt resolution directly with the Freelancer.
Freelyns may:
Review submitted materials.
Temporarily hold funds (if not yet released).
Make a discretionary decision.
Freelyns’ decision regarding platform-level disputes may be final.
Refunds will NOT be issued for:
Change of mind after work begins.
Failure to clearly define project requirements.
Delays caused by Client.
Minor revisions outside agreed scope.
Completed and approved deliverables.
Violation of platform policies.
Freelyns reserves the right to:
Deny refund requests deemed fraudulent.

If a Client initiates a chargeback or payment reversal:
The associated account may be suspended.
Access to the Platform may be restricted.
Outstanding balances may become immediately due.

Clients may cancel projects before work begins. Refund eligibility depends on work status.
